Yesterday, instead of a second period of basic Japanese, we went out to a mall nearby and the teacher treated the whole class to dinner. I had 玉子焼き and some kind of あんこ soup. I'm in a bit of a rush, so I don't have time to explain those, but I wanted to note it.

That's my kind of Japanese class!
That sounds pretty awesome. Did the teacher try and relate it to the lesson somehow? Or maybe s/he was just hungry?
The level three class next to us got the whole day off because their Wednesday teacher's family got sick and she had to stay home to nurse them. I guess my school doesn't believe in substitute teachers?
Uchida-sensei, the level four (my class) teacher on Wednesdays said we were going out to eat because there wasn't that much to do that day and that it didn't seem fair for them to get the day off and for us to have to sit around and study.
